A draft despatch to Lindsay at Washington about
the export of arms to China via Hong Kong is coming to
you for concurrence under cover of our printed letter
No. F 3492/60/10. Since it was drafted we have had a
telegram, of which I enclose a copy, asking for an early
reply.
We should be most grateful if you could let us
know urgently whether you concur or have any amendments
to make. There is a bag to Washington on Tuesday and we
should like to get the despatch off by it if possible.
